Night is a pictorial deployment in five paintings. Attraction to the fall, Ascension of the dark, Expansion of the opaque, Transparency of the black, Abandonment at dawn successively construct underground, aquatic and aerial spaces crossed by light and half-light, transparency and opacity.
Night is a projection into an unconscious, that of the atavistic and intimate experience of sound, the being in the night, the prey in the half-light, the child worried by the darkness, the adult troubled by the absence of clarity. Night as a living being, a being-time inhabited by reminiscences, childhood stories and adult experiences, a panoptic being-space where sensations and emotions become entangled, past and present merge according to new conditions, those obscure of the night of consciousness.
