OUND INSTALLATION BY STEPHANIE LAFORCE
Salle Agénor, Le Senghor from 7pm
During my residencies I capture the melody of the wind through the strings of an electric wind harp. It's an immersion in unheard-of music dictated by nature. The murmurings of the air and the words to describe them accompany each of my journeys, weaving an intimate bond between these island lands, where wind and music merge.
Visitors will be offered the chance to listen directly to a natural phenomenon so that they can ‘tune in’ to nature and appreciate its sonic and meditative aspects. The harp will be the interpreter of natural harmonies. In this age of renewable energies, such as wind, it's interesting to immerse ourselves in an artistic creation that allows us to rediscover it through a musical medium.

As a multimedia artist and composer of electroacoustic music, my field of activity lies at the crossroads of the digital arts, the performing arts and contemporary music. For more than fifteen years, I have been building interactive and poetic sound devices for my exhibitions and electroacoustic compositions, with which I develop original universes. My musical output embraces compositions from a variety of universes, each with its own specific poetic and social commitment. I decompartmentalise practices through performance choices that combine poetics, history and physical presence. My approach attempts to answer an essential question: the place of the human in a machine world.
