Innen-Aussen is a 16-channel sound installation broadcast on 38 loudspeakers inside and outside the former Belgian border post, Kukuk command (Aachen, Germany).
Innen-Aussen is a sound drama that takes place inside and outside the former Belgian border post. Nature there is artificial and the fiction plausible. Innen-Aussen reveals a devastated landscape: the natural sound environment of the substation, the result of omnipresent and omnipotent human activity. Innen-Aussen is a story from which emerge sound forms in movement, acoustic images in dialogue, furtive auditory shadows. Innen-Aussen is the image of life, a precarious balance in the making that any activity modifies, transforms... imbalance.
