While any spoken word awakens contradiction, while silence is always deceptive or complicit, the fragment, as a fragment, tends to dissolve the totality. A project based on the use of a material, the human voice, whose ambiguous status is part of a recurring problem in music: preponderance of the meaning of words, precedence of the emotion of body noises or autonomy of plastic value of sounds with a strong iconic charge. At the beginning, a series of variations on a cell (space, color, density, mass, dynamics) starting from a reduced material and of mediocre sound quality, and working in the same way on the minimal identification and the constrained desire; in the end, a less methodical project, a less formal object, an organic development, a retention.

Zwangsneurose was premiered in the concert cycle One Hour Concrete at the Nova Cinema (Brussels).
