Laurent Pigeolet graduated in music (piano, harmony, chamber music, music history) at the Namur Institute of Music and Pedagogy (IMEP). He then specialized in chamber music and piano at the Conservatory of Brussels, and the Conservatory of Liège, where he obtained his master degree. He studied improvisation with Firmin Decerf, acousmatics with Annette Vande Gorne, and composition and instrumentation with Claude Ledoux and Denis Pousseur at the Conservatory of Mons.
