Saveurs de Pierre et de Miel
(Flavour of Stone and Honey)

for piano solo (2015)

I wrote this piece for my friend Laurence Mekhitarian, as an echo of her origins. This musical journey - between some references of hieratic landscapes of Armenia and the sweetness of the honey, base of numerous receipes of that country - was designed in the framework of the 2015 Amenian commemorations ; in order to offer my own sensitive and human subjectivity as an alternative in front of a tragedy which does not stop haunting a centuries-long people.
