Hope exists, fortunately ... is a score composed for the SymfonieOrkest Vlaanderen as part of the SOV’s Composer Academy 2022. This piece is dedicated to the orchestra and their conductor Kristiina Poska. It has been written as an overture to Beethoven’s fifth piano concerto but can also be played as itself of course.

I would like to warmly thank my composition teachers Claude Ledoux and Geoffrey François that teached me so many things, opened my ears and helped me to compose this first symphonic score. I would like to thank a lot the musicians of the SOV and they assistant conductor, Martijn Dendievel, who helped me a lot during the workshop sessions. Many thanks also to Stephanie Dierckxsens that really accompanied me during all the Composer’s academy and made me feel as home inside the orchestra.
